The Role

  • Oversee internal and external financial reporting functions of the UK, US and Canada entities.
  • Manage financial reporting requirements including month end reporting and annual statutory accounts.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts including commentary and analysis of key drivers.
  • Prepare month end close activities including commission accrual, provisions, general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Reconcile inter-company balances and invoicing related parties.
  • Oversee payroll processing and payments, including expense reimbursement.
  • Co-ordinate payment requests and maintain cashbook including bank reconciliations.
  • Maintain Fixed Assets Register and CAPEX register.
  • Ensure regulatory and statutory compliance by assisting in annual income tax returns, VAT, payroll related and other country/state specific returns, liaising with external tax agents, payroll providers and be the key finance contact for external auditing firm.
  • Assist in preparation of budgets and forecasts including monthly forecasts and annual business plans.
  • Establish and maintain robust controls and governance.
  • Drive system and process improvements, change implementation and streamlining of accounting practices.
  • Play an active role in process re-design, policy documentation and improvement projects.

You:
Experience and skills required:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within SaaS/Software or professional services.
  • Degree and CPA / CA Qualified preferred.
  • Multi-national and multi-currency transactions experience preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with high proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
  • Efficient, resourceful, effective, disciplined.
  • A clear thinker who works well in a collaborative setting yet takes initiative and drive results independently.
